When it comes to marketing, a fundamental rule to follow is do not promote all your products or your entire store, instead, concentrate on promoting a select few products that have higher chances of selling. You might have hundreds of products in your store, but not all products will sell equally well. Some sell more than the others. You should promote products that are selling. Since these items are already successful, they can yield substantial profits with a little bit of marketing effort. You can also create a product bundle to sell other products along with winning products. For instance, if your shoes are selling well, offer socks as a combo and add a discount.

I understand the point that you are making especially for someone that has a lot of products that they are going to market. However, when one has just one product to market, what approach do you think that they are going to follow? I am asking because I run a poultry farm at the moment.

Well, the key to making more sales is to find the winning product as the OP suggests. However, this may never be that easy at all. Winning products are the kind of products people are willing to buy. Such kind of products sell like hot cakes. This may involve conducting market research about different kinds of products. You may have to hire market researchers and analysts for that.

Conducting market research could be a very good way to know what your targeted audience wants. You can run a survey on social media and hope that you get the right response that you seek. Once you find that product, scaling up should be the next step to make to have a better turnover rate.
 
I would say that when there is a possibility of being able to sell any of your business product and services, I believe that you should market and promote all of them. This should include the ones that have more chances of being sold faster than others. All of them should be promoted because leaving them out is always going to result in having those products to expire and become very useless in the company. This is going to turn out being a total loss for the business.

Well, there are many businesses that offer free products with the winning products. This makes such kind of products quite more popular by the end of the day. And there will always be people who may be attracted to such kind of juicy offers and they may purchase the product. This depends on the budget, though.

You're talking about giving out some sort of promo for a popular product that have already broken into the market while I'm talking about a promoting a product that's yet to break into the market in order to see customers purchasing it. The only way that can work is to use them to make the customers know about them and hope customers come for them next time they are shopping.

There are many people who may focus a lot on the main product (winning product). This is why they may not be interested in the product which is being offered for free. This is why companies should focus on offering free products that may be related to the winning product. This may increase the interest of buyers.
