Verification email for forum not received

If people complain that they are not receiving the verification email for the forum or other website,what could be the cause of the problem? What should the webmaster do ?

I personally experienced it. It took me a month to realize the cause of why I was not able to receive the verification email. I committed a mistake in providing the site with my email address. I missed including one letter in my email ad. I submitted the correction after I checked my account and after some minutes I received the verification email.

The webmaster should resend the verification link. That is the best way to solve that problem.

Well, I have registered on a site some time ago. I received the account confirmation mail. However, I never received password reset mail in there!

I was wondering why for almost 4 months my email was not verified and then I tried to check back my email and learned I missed one letter, gosh. That was the reason why have not received the verification.

That was solved after some months. I did not think about the possibility of error. And then my mind told me the possible commission of error ad I was right.

Sometimes it can be an issue with your anti spam security in your forum or there's a mess up with the registration section which makes it not sending email for verification to users especially when they didn't make mistake in their email spelling. I have had this experience once in a forum and the admin had to fix it.

I for one encountered it. It took some time to understand the reason why I couldn't get the check email. I committed a misstep in furnishing the site with my email address. I missed remembering one letter for my email promotion. I presented the amendment after I checked my record and after a certain time, I got the confirmation email.

I have experienced it once or twice when registering on forums but I never know what caused it because I'm sure not was wrong from my filling the registration details. On forums where it happened, I used the contact us to reach the admin and he approved my account without getting the verification.

There could be issues such as;

The user input the wrong email, ask them for their username/email and see if there is any mistakes. If so, I'd go in and accept the sign up. Sometimes you have to confirm the account for them, maybe correct their email address.

There could be an issue with the site in terms of sign up. Maybe the user is being viewed as spam by the site, or the email service you're using could be down.

If a user gives me enough info, I will sometimes just verify the account on my end.

This issue of being viewed as spam is what I have also experienced. Any forum which makes use of spam blockers will affect some users like that and all their registeration will be pending on the administrators direct approval. I have also been on a forum where the administrator never approved my registration. There's a forum called VGR, all registeration all set for admins direct approval.
