Two-factor authentication, or 2FA in short, is a simple way to make your website more secure. When someone tries to log in from a new device or location, they'll need to enter a code that's sent to your phone, email or authenticator app. The purpose of using 2FA on your website is that only you can log into your account. A lot of forums have enabled 2FA to secure users’ accounts and the site. By the way, have you used 2FA on your community? Have you ever used 2FA on your blog?
