Do you care about the types of ads on your site? Would it matter to you if someone were promoting a scam on it or something?

I remember a website that I thought to be really cool and bringing me loads of money but I received only shame for it due to Adsense ads.

The site was running under a domain name that included the keyword "hot" and despite it was meant to be a webmasters listing, those ads used to be about girls in bikini, and even adult-related websites despite it is supposed that those type of ads are not allowed by AdSense.

I had to remove all the advertising generated "on-the-fly" and stick to image banners from specific advertisers in other affiliate network.

Yeah it would matter if someone was advertising a scam on my websites, but shady ads are bound to get through on Adsense. All you can do is report them and let Google handle it. Luckily since using adsense, I haven't had many ads get through that would offend or scam someone.

Ads matter of course. There was a time that I allow guest post in my blog and when he post something else out of my niche, the ads in my websites changes and its not related anymore to my niche. Eventually, no i got no clicks to my ads after it. so I have to update and post more entries just to cover everything.

I do care about it. Even if ads are ads and that i said that i don't claim any right on them in T.O.S, i'd like to keep ad high quality. That way, i can except higher CTR will targeted and promising ads!

It is why i prefer ad networks instead of direct ad sales.
