For me , I understand the function of a manager to be a director, guide and leads how duties and responsibilities should be executed in a business organisation.. They doesn't have to stress themselves physically on normal circumstanceBeing a manager or owner of a business doesn't mean you will have to be complacent and relaxed in it because you have people working for you. Hardwork should start from top down to show example to everyone else in the organization.
Okay I really understand your point now. A manager will always hand down instructions to subordinates while he supervises them. Lolz, this is true in most cases. Yes on rare occasions. Anyway it is not really easy to be a manager and anyone who thinks it is just for you to organise a business might not understand. There are many things that a new business owner should know,he should be able to understand the market and what the potential customers really need and then strategise on how to solve these problems.The knowledge you need to run a business should be from as many sources as possible and even when you are already into the business, you keep making research on how to improve on yourself and your business
