I personally think two-factor authentication is a really good idea, I use it for this site and a few other sites I have accounts on. I just use the Google Auth app.

What do you think about them, do you use it?

I use it for one website, I won't say which here. I don't use it for most forums and other social media accounts online as I think I have enough security as my passwords are quite long. I believe the security strength is good for now, if I get hacked I will consider adding more security to my accounts.

It does add security but it does have a obvious drawback and that's usability. If they had what WIndows does but easily works on Ubuntu based systems then I would consider that. As I believe authing the machine is a good comprise.
