Twitter Changed to X

Advertisement Placeholder
I don't know if it would have been a good or bad move, what is clear is that Elon wants to give Twitter a complete facelift even in the name, he wants to little by little remodel the social network from its core, People don't seem to have cared much either, although the name could have been better.

It made no sense to change it to X. Twitter had years of marketing and standing before Elon came in. I doubt it needed to be changed. But what I find more annoying is how he intends to change the platform. Like casually saying he is going to make X a paid for service for everyone. I'm sorry, but X in its current state isn't worth a dime to me. I see no need to put money in X just to use it.

He's just going to further push people away from X than towards it.

Changing the name might not have been the best move, but I really can't argue with all of the cool new features that X now has ever since Musk took over. I honestly like the Communities and Jobs tabs. Maybe one of these days the platform will actually be useful to scroll through on a daily basis and not just be a huge collection of spam posts promoting things.

I di not see any difference with the name change but I believe Twitter or X is going to be far better under Musk than it was as a public company. I think soon X will have over 1 billion users.

I never cared for Twitter. I don't care for X either.

But they do seem to have a good thing going on over there. Zuckerbergs latest video basically says Facebook is implementing changes to be more like X when it comes to freedom of expression.

I like X for the niches that I use it for (blogging and outdoor recreation).

I pay for Premium+ on a few accounts, even. I think it's worth it, but I have an audience for it. If that starts to change, then I'll abandon X.

Sometimes, though, I feel Elon acquired it so that he can say whatever he wants to a large number of people and that no one can do anything about it. Effectively, I don't think profit was ever his intention.

100% Right because that what he does on the regular there.
