Tumblr is migrating half billion blogs to run on Wordpress

I joined Tumblr a long time ago and I mainly used it for driving Traffic. I used to republish a section of my article publish elsewhere and then put my link on the bottom and those where were interested would click to read the original article, but this method did not bring me a lot of traffic, so I stopped doing it.

I have used Tumblr a few times but not for anything serious. Most tend to use WordPress now so it would make sense for them to migrate Tumblr to WordPress.

That's interesting, will they allow migration to a self hosted Wordpress instance or will you continue to be stuck on Tumblr's hosting? It'd be nice if they offered migration to self hosting, but most free hosts don't allow that with forums.
This is a good question. I would imagine there would be a lot of people who would appreciate this option.

Oh, great idea, team. Let's migrate a completely unique website to a blog platform and tank our fucking stock price.

Great idea.

There are truely stupid people out there. The whole point of tumblr is to be completely "different" from everyone else. Coding language and all.

Hey, hey, it's not my stock price, bro. Go ahead.
