So, I was looking at how Chrome and Opera has decided to collaborate to create a new rendering engine called Blink and move away from WebKit, so I thought "why not make an independent browser? Like, not made by a large non-profit or corporation, but independently owned and created?". That's what SurfCat is.
SurfCat is a WebKit-based minimalist browser aimed at older PCs and public-use computers or anything prone to viruses such as public-use PCs. It is aimed to use around 150-200MB of RAM for a 3 to 5 tab window, and has optional Flash and Java support, for security reasons. Also to optimize the browser, no plugins will be supported.
