Suggestions Area vs Ticket Support

Personally, I believe it is necessary for a forum to have a suggestion and feedback area and also have a ticketing system. because both of them work differently. In suggestion areas, members can chip in their opinion in what needed to be looked into but with the ticketing system, it is a problem that is personal to a particular member that needs to be resolved and not made a public knowledge.
 
I think a forum needs to hve both ticketing system as well as suggestion and feedback section. I believe ticketing system is more appropriate for personal issue where as feedback and suggeston system is for general purpose where other useers can also have their say

Yeah, that's very correct. Having a ticketing system in a forum without having the suggestion and feedback section is just going to be like having a car without engine. Both the ticketing system with the suggestion and feedback is going to complement the forum better.

The feedback area will help the forum owner understand how a lot of the members feel with what is going on in the forum. Not everyone will want to send a dm to the admin or forum owner and the feedback area give you an opportunity to express yourself.

This is actually part of the reason why some from owners even go to the extent of running a beta testing program for the community before they will fully launch it. This is so that they can be able to find out if there is anything that needs to be reported and fixed before every other person who will start joining the community when it is launched.
