Successful Domain Rebranding

What are some good examples? Would it be like Musk rebranding from Twitter? What have you rebranded? Did people like it? Why did you get rid of the old stuff?

Myself, I would be reluctant to rebrand. It would have to be some really outrageous situation. Well, one example would be if I could sell my brand name. I mean, if I was offered all this money, then why not sell and rebrand? Can you all think of reasons not to. Well, one reason might be the pride associated with the domain. It could mean something to me.

You can do it but you generally shouldn’t because your brand is how you are perceived. The domain is just a natural extension of that.

You *can* rebrand if you picked a stupid name (e,g. Hard to spell, not memorable) and you transition to something more memorable. My company did this a few years ago, but I’m reluctant to basically self-dox, otherwise I’d give you all the details.
