Subscriptions for users to try out new changes?

I think another site did this, but there was a subscription you could pay to be given updates about site changes before anyone else, along with behind the scenes stuff that no other users would get. Do you think this sort of thing would be of interest to some users? Or would it be better to offer more in these subscriptions? If so, what could people add to make it worth the subscription? I think it'd be a great addition to some sites.

If your site has organic activities, if your site has users who are active on your site out of passion, I think introducing subscriptions for trying out new changes can commence. However, if you lack active users who ar eon your site for pure passion, you might not succeed in selling subscription.
