Studying by yourself or taking classes?

There are many courses (free and paid) you'll be able to enrol for with great benefits. It all depends of the sector field you would like to accumulate the information from. For me I started with (Coursera) and ( EDX ). From these sites, I actually have gained information that wouldn’t potential doable if I only attended a university in my country. These sites provide courses from high universities of the world like MIT, UCI, IIT, Georgia tech etc. These sites are indeed a blessing to the humanity that urgently needs information.

You should check the master classes they have on MindValley, maybe they are not on the same topics as the ones you mentioned but will definitely put you on a better path of life.

Taking classes it gives you more knowledge and insight on what you are doing and makes you a professional in the field

Yeah, you said it all, starting on your own via watching it on YouTube, or connecting to webinar will save you money, when you don't have. But won't get you best of learning, their is nothing bigger than when you learn together with your fellow learners. That will accelerate your progress, because through face to face interaction you can know better, and share where you are finding difficulty and settle it within the class there.
Youtube is pretty great platform. You can learn a lot there, you should just find a good channel and you can learn for free. My only concern with taking webinar is that there a lot of scams out there.

Lol, webinar is a conventional video hosted by a website owner, business owner, company etc. To educate you on specific objective. They don't scam, rather you can find their teachings very vital and inspiring to your career endeavor.

I am actually working on my own webinar about self development, most probably it will be live at the end of January so I can start my course in february or as well at the end of January, we will see.

Having someone to guide you will be a huge help in learning the basics after that you will need to gain experience in order to fully grasp it. Experience is the best teacher so is failure. You can do it both or you need to do it both.

Interesting to hear that you're working your own webinar about self development. Till January, I will be waiting to see the copy of your progress posted in this forum, success in your learning quest.

Both are a great thing to do, but i prefer to learn from class, or get a personal tutor that will help to make me understand the basics and Inner depth of what am suppose to know. I will also advise that self development is great and we should learn how to learn things on our own.

Some students work better at night time, others work better during the day. ... When students study in a group, the priority is finding a time that works for everyone, not finding a time that is most effective for studying.Studying alone allows students the freedom to choose when they want to study and for how long.

Yes, learning in the class is the best, and also scheduling another extra curricular lecture with a tutor, is a nice option to follow too. Let's see how this things go, I believe I will take my time to consider it.

What do you think is the best way to learn about stocks and shares? Studying by yourself or taking classes?

When you are by yourself you have the opportunity to find places where in groups you wouldn t go and in classes you can ask questions to the ones around you and they can speak from experience.

Do you want to take seminars or online courses?
Both ways should be used for proper learning and studying because if we only study by own means we will become lazy, because there are no targets and no limitations for us, and if we are learning by classes then we are are required to maintain our attendance and hence we can learn by combining both ways

It is better to be in a class than to study on your own. When you are in a class you can ask questions and share ideas and knowledge with your fellow students but if you are studying on your own, it can be quite difficult to understand and learn faster.

taking class because You are in a class with the same level of English as you. So you feel more confident and easier to talk to and understand. You are all in the same boat, everyone makes mistakes but you are there to learn from them. In fact, you learn as much as you do from your classmates' mistakes.

I think it is better to help express by sitting alone and reading When we learn something regularly from a school or institute, it is more excellent. There are many problems reading from yourself.. So I prefer to go to seminars where we get to learn a lot that does not understand online reading.

No doubt, stocks and shares have to be learnt in both ways, to excel in this, you may need expert guidance from those with some wealth of experience and at same time you watch practical videos online to enable you understanding some other basics, by these, one will definitely understand.

I will take seminars. In seminars I have the opportunity to meet other individuals who are involved in stocks and are ready to share their experience with me. I have come to understand that buying stocks is not something you rush into but you have to take your time and learn from others.

It all depends on your ability to understand and grab stuffs. You can learn by yourself if you have the required materials for learning on your won. And if your can understand what you are studying so be it. But you can also take classes if you dont have the time to learn on your own.

If i would choose between studying all by myself and taking classes then I'd go with the latter as it has more advantage due to the fact that there is someone to tutor you which in return makes me catch up much more faster than studying all by myself.

I can count on both experiences. During my first degree, there were lessons about business laws, commerce (that obviously included stocks and dividends), bankrupticy laws, economics and tax laws. That's why I was later advantages going on studying alone. About subjects like these, It's easier to study alone when the basis are formed. In any way, I think very dedicated people may have success studying alone even since the basis. And when there is lack of money to pay a course, studying alone is the only way, we like it or not.
