My blog gets a decent amount of views a day, but it rarely gets comments. I ask questions, and I feel my content is of decent quality so I don't understand why people aren't commenting. I'm considering replacing comments with a couple of banners to Admining's social network profiles but I don't know if that would be a good move. What do you think?

I remember this problem when I had my first Blog, have you tried to post comments encouraging people to get involved in conversation? I guess most of it is down to luck, in getting the traffic to your blog, which are willing to participate. Maybe it's best to have some comments asking questions on the articles you have written, to try get more opinions?

I would leave the comments area, it creates some interaction between you and readers. If you didn't have such a heavy sidebar I'd suggest listing the latest comments. I would also suggest you get some comment packages of FP and other promotion forums if you did that to encourage others.

Maybe. But it would definitely have to be somewhere else besides "FP" as I'm banned from there.
ForumHour.com? Just kidding.

There are some smaller promotion forums you could post on and use the forum currency to buy packages... :)

If you write something that compels a reader negatively enough I can guarantee you will get comments - angry comments.

You have to say something that is very controversial and that piss people off. Only then will people post a comment to angrily comment back. lol

Maybe you could host a comment contest. Something like "Comment of the Week", that would encourage your readers to make interesting comments.

I'd also agree with that, giving some prominence and attention to comments, will encourage other people to make them.
