Starting your own Bed and breakfast

Would you ever consider starting your own bed and breakfast? I don't know if it's something I would ever consider, as I don't like the idea of renting to people often. I'd rather someone rent for a long period of time, like years. Anyway, who here has done a bed and breakfast? Has it succeeded for you?

I once traveled to another city on a business trip. I wanted a place to sleep and serve me breakfast in the morning. However, I couldn't find any. I had to book a hotel room and had to spend a lot of money. If there were any B and B services, it would have been cheaper for me. That's how I got this idea of starting my own B and B facility but because of lack of funds, I never got started.
