Starting an image board a good idea?

Image boards are pretty popular from what I hear. I know sites like 4chan are an image board. The focus is to post photos and commentary. Don't go to 4chan though, it's one of those sites that is iffy imo. Anyway, who here has started their own image board? Would you start one if not?

If you believe there is a need for such a platform and you're willing to put in the necessary effort, starting an image board can be a viable option.

Shutterstock started out once before it became a very big platform where images can be sold and people can actually make money from it.

So I believe that starting an image board is something that can actually be a very good projects as long as you know how to promote it to be very popular for people to make use of it.

I have never started an image board, I have been a part of websites where you would post pictures and image commentary, and even make money from your activities. I see two problems in create an image board, one, people will start posting photos that they find on a random website, they do not care about copyrights, and two, your users might start posting risque photos.
