I've seen this done in several forums and was just wondering if you guys have had any success with it. Sponsorship is when a community allows a member special perks in exchange for donation to help finance the forum. Some perks include (but not limited to) special username color, administrative rights, larger PM limits, etc.

What are some of the perks that you offer to your sponsors?

A special username color, ad-free, and a PM increase should always be included. Some people do a horrible job of giving some sort of a reward with a sponsorship.

I think it's so hard coming up with unique ideas for perks for these kinds of things. It seems like each forum sponsorship is the same exact thing nowadays.

A special username color, no ads (obviously) unlimited PM's, access to any kind of updates before anyone gets them, and getting to be involved with forum decisions that the staff would usually talk about.

Sometimes I will do this. However, whether or not I do sponsorships depends on the type of forum. Some things I've included in sponsorships are username colors, custom groups, custom titles, custom ranks, private forums for sponsors, one free large service package per month, etc. Granted, I don't do those much anymore.

I have two different upgrades for my forum that are cash donation based. Both are similar but one is $10 and the other is $20. They have special coloured usernames, a special userbar and have access to special features such as having a signature etc.
