Social Media vs. Forums

Advertisement Placeholder
Yes, I like forums for the discussion-type of topics there are. Social media like Facebook seems as if you're often posting for validation through likes and comments. Social media also seems to trigger more jealousy because most people post about the positives in their life and when you're not doing so well at the time, it can make you jealous of their successes. The only social media I use is Reddit and I don't post or up/downvote anything, Reddit is probably the closest social media to an overabundant message board, which is why I browse it. Forums have been my life for the past decade and every time I try using a social media like Facebook I just end up either deleting or deactivating my account.
