Sites in religion niche a good idea?

Are religious niche sites a good idea? Or would you advise one not to make a religious site? I imagine a site to do with christianity will result in a decent amount of traffic. But, I'm not very religious, so I would need someone who would want to take control of a religious site.

Do you think it'd be a good idea to make some sites based on religion?

anything concerning religion would definitely get huge amount of traffic not just in the Christendom but also in other forms of religion that has a large following, by large i mean atleast one billion followers.

If you have the traffic for it, then it could be something good but don't go building a religion niche because you feel people will buy into the idea and you get lots of visitors. Have the market first.

I see nothing wrong with this. My wife has considered starting a Christian forum that focuses on community building as well as offering a place for non-believers to ask questions or post concerns. It is hard to do this on public spaces where it is not niche specific without people arguing about things.

No, i don't think it's a good idea to make sites based on religion in order to avoid unneccessary arguments on one's site because everyone have different religious beliefs.

There are people who really love to take their spirituality very seriously and if you can be able to write very exciting content about it then you can create a name for yourself. This is not a category that I particularly like

If you're not a religious person why do you want to create a site on religion. At least, you should have passion for what you to create site on. The idea of handing over the site to another person to control is good, but not best.

I feel this would be a good niche but it will probably be saturated by familiar names. Even though religion brings attachment, some people only trust those they know and won't easily try others.

I think there are more religious people than non-religious people, therefore, I believe religion is a profitable niche for a website. However, you should be very careful about your content because you follow certain religion doe snot mean you have the right to offend people belonging to a different faith.

Having a site based on religion is not bad, even this can attract more religious people to trigger them about having account on websites. A Christian believer should create a forum whereby things concerning the scriptures would be discussed thoroughly.

Religious website niches are well known and are very old ones and there is no a lot of revamp of this domain like for example any website to publish religious information refers to IslamWeb (example) and moves on. Means create religious site doesn't succeed like before.

Well as the saying goes "the more the merrier" arguments generate high participation from users and creates traffic to your site.

You have a point. Arguments do generate high participation from users and brings traffic to one's site but i still do not feel it's a good idea to make sites based on religion.

Religion is something that is part of the world so I believe that any platform for any websites that writes in the religion he will surely have a lot of views especially when it is a popular religion

Yeah I wouldn't want much controversy in my site too, but desperate times brings desperate measures so it ultimately depends on someone who wants to create a site on relegion.

That's true. As much as a lot of people would like to avoid the controversy that comes with having a site with religion niche, they might have no other choice. They might be desperate for a lot of traffic on their site.
