Should Juveniles be treated as adults?

Everybody deserve to be treated like others. We all deserve to be treated the same way, so you need to treat everybody equal both the young and the old. That's is what makes us the same. We have equal rights as a citizen of a country not by age and status

In other words what ever punishment allocated to a particular crime, it should be carried out irrespective of age

Juvenile simply refer to the young and upcoming adults and in this state they are the point of development where their sense of reasoning is being and impaired by hormones. These behaviours are normal and shouldn't be treated as something serious as long as a kid is still developing. The reason is that these juveniles will become more responsible when they obtain a broader on life.

I am of the opinion and that juveniles should be treated according to the way they present themselves. Adults are always adults because they behave in a different and matured manner

Juvenile simply refers to the young ones, or the under aged. The term is mostly used when an under aged carries out a criminal activity. There have been several cases of of juvenile crimes happening all over the world. The recent in my country is a case of a 9 ( nine ) year old girl who was caught on camera ( CCTV ) while carrying out the act in a super market in Abuja the capital city. According to reporters she was with her mother, but the mother was not even aware her daughter would do such a thing. She was mostly found moving round the gas section of the supermarket before the fire went off. This incident has caused so many mixed reactions as some out of anger has requested she be arrested irrespective of the age.

It depends on your country and the law guiding the people and their activities in some countries they will let go of the child while some the will face the punishment when they are of age

Okay what is your intake on the example I gave above, the child in question is just 9 years old according to information gotten. What do you think should be done?

When I got the news, I was shocked to death. But after watching the video, she knew what she was doing. It was an intentional act. The question now is if she was beckoned to do it or it was her idea. She needed mental health services.
