Should bride price be abolished?

Following all modalities when it comes to payment of Bride price, I do not think bride price should be abolished because this is the real evidence that you are married.

In my country bride price has always been a tradition from the beginning of time, bride price shouldn't be abolished what should be abolished is ridiculous extravagant bride price. The Eastern people in Nigeria will totally agree with me.

I don't see it that way and the reason I am saying that is because you cannot just come and Carry someone's daughter like that and get married without showing a little appreciation to the parents that train this girl to a responsible woman you are about to marry.
