Should bloggers create a personal website?

One thing I've been wondering recently is if bloggers should create a personal website. What if a reader wants to find out more information about the author and can't find anything about them? I think it would be good to have a personal website that provides a biography of yourself. What say you?

That's true but when compared to everyone else, it seems that one has to go above and beyond, especially now that employer's expect a solid porfolio website.

I think it would be beneficial for all website owners or bloggers to have their own personal website. You'll appear very professional if the website looks decent. Also, if you are looking to start your career, your personal website is a great place to have a copy of your resume and a portfolio. Personally, I've had a personal website for the last 3-4 years, and I don't plan on getting rid of it anytime soon.
