Should all sites include a forum?

Forums shouldn't be embraced by all site owners because it depends. If one is into buying/selling then a forum is needed but most site owners who doesn't have the expenses to run a forum might not find it necessary. Adding a forum to a site is quite a positive and interesting idea, as it brings you and your traffic closer.

I think a website that sells products or services should have a forum so that the customers can use the forums to discuss the products and services offered by the site.

You can only include forum on your website if you are in a niche that engage a lot of discussions. However there are some niches that doesn't require much discussion from people. If you find yourself in that niche there is no need to include forum on your website.

Forums can really be profitable because it will draw a large number of people but sometimes it will demand a lot of resources so it is the best that you stick the only things that you have interest on and not things that will later cause inconveniences to you in the future.

It is good to have a forum, but managing a forum is very time consuming. A large number of spammers are registering on the forum, and deleting the spam accounts take time.

Forum are absolutely not necessary for a lot of sites. For example, forums are not necessary on your personal website/blog, you also don't have to use forum for ecommerce site. etc.

A site should not necessarily include a forum as this is another hectic task when it comes to management and regulation which is not easy.

If a forum can fit into a website, then it is an amazing idea. It can help to keep the traffic coming as you said. It also gives the website a feel of variety. People won't get bored.

I have almost 2 dozen sites but I have forums only on two sites and one of my sites is a forum with a blog section. I don't think every sites need a forum unless you desire to build a discussion board on your site.

I planned to include forum into my site but I feel it won't be as friendly as the real forum site. I have seen couple of sites that integrated forums but the Interface isn't friendly.

Personally, I support sites to have forum because, just as someone already stated above, it will help the users and site owner communicate easily. But I think the cost of running a forum may hinder some sites owners not to have a forum. And it is possible that the site owner doesn't see any need for a forum. It is just my thoughts. Thanks for sharing.
I believe all the site should include forum in my own opinion because if a forum is introduced , it will give members the opportunity to meet themselves, talk and connect.

This really great. Adding a forum to your site will be a great idea but I don't think if most people will like to devote their time just to create a forum

it depends on what site you have so you want to make your own forum. I don't have much to do with what site I own, I can honestly tell you. it's just extra work and it probably won't work. I have live support 24/24.

Including forum site in all sites is not necessary in my own opinion, there are some websites that is just for advertisement and doesn't necesarily need a forum to survive.

I am very sure that forum will be better because every individual would have the opportunity to talk and everyone can explain his mind about different things.

I feel it would be very nice if all sites have a forum. Like you said it would improve traffic and it will encourage discussions and communication among members of the sites.

Should all sites include a forum? I figure adding a community to the site would add a lot, and could be a way of keeping traffic coming back. You probably won't keep everyone around, but I'm sure you could figure a way to keep some of them around with a forum and other fun stuff.
I think that a forum is a very good idea because that way if there is any concern on the website then people can post about it and they can try to resolve it and help each other out that way.

Not necessarily. If your products or services you are offering can benefit from having a community around it, then it is a good idea to have a forum. But for some sites, a forum can lead to the downfall of the site because of the conflicting views of users or members. Generally, a fourn is good for collecting feedback directly from your members and allowing them to share experiences.

It depends on your website as if you have product/e-commerce/service type website than it is good idea to have forum so people can talk about your main website otherwise it's should be fine if you don't have forum with your site.
