I am thinking of creating a short 1 minute video to advertise my skincare forum.

I don't have much options so I was think of doing just a simple text ad video like this video. However, I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas.

I like the idea. It's pretty simple and sure is very easy to make. However, since this is a marketing video you have to take into consideration your audience of course. It has to catch attention. That's the main idea for a marketing video.

Since you've mentioned that your forum is about skin care you can at least point out some of the main deals that would really catch attention, for example; "You're having skin trouble but you don't want to waste money going to a doctor? Maybe we can help." or something like that. I know that sounds horrible but you might want to try things like that.

Just think about this when you're making the video "How can I make this video convince people to click and sign up" :)

Perhaps you can use any of the following concepts to see what works for your marketing video:
- Humorous/ witty (starts with a joke)
- Informative (starts with a thought-provoking question)
- Animation-driven (a cute mascot of your own device)
- Inspirational (something that moves hearts or reduces your target audience to tears)
