SEO and Domain Extension Choice

It might not be a good idea to register a .us extension, if you want to rank outside the USA. However, a general extension like .club or .xyz would work anywhere I'd think. However, though, some Americans are prejudiced against endings that are not .com, or at the least, .net, or .org. Well, in the UK perhaps there is unjust favoritism for .co.uk.

People are still keen on using .com and .net from what I know. I mean it makes sense why these are often the most expensive, following .org as well.

If possible, I will always get a .com domain and second to that, a .net but I never use .org personally.

The .org extension is supposed to be for non-profits. It looks silly with sites wanting to sell something. Well, I don't know. Maybe it's more a subjective thing.

Yeah, that is how I always viewed it. It should be used for organizations, given the "org" of it all lol

I mean I am fine with people using it for whatever they want but I think in terms of rankings if you are trying to run an actual business it makes no sense.
