Selling your photos to stock sites, good or bad idea?

Has anyone here sold their photos to stock sites or anyone? I have thought about selling some of my photos, but I don't know how much stock sites tend to pay. Is there a going rate for photos?

I've not sold any of my photos or art on any photo stock websites. I've never used any of those stock websites apart from Getty Images. I tried downloading a picture from the website for my project and I was charged to pay for it.

If you can sell your photographs to stock sites, it will bring you passive income. You will be making money from the same photo for a long time. However, selling is really difficult. I have never been able to sell any photos.

Selling those photos are never easy because most of those sites are not buying it right away as they just need you to upload it and wait for viewers to comment and like your photos. This means that you have to be really creative before you can make money from selling your photos.
