Selling and shopping on Tiktok?

Did you guys know you could buy and sell stuff on Tiktok? I think it depends on how far your influence is on the app, like how many followers you have, how many likes etc. I have seen a lot of people selling products on TikTok and I don't get it. Has anyone here tried to sell on the app? What is buying like?

But I even tried it myself, because I had an online store and I decided to try to increase the audience by posting a video on TikTok, and there were a lot of views, but only a few sales. But it is much easier than running ads on Instagram

I have used tiktok to run ads and promote things but never sold anything directly on tiktok or never bought anything that I saw on tiktok
