I think it would be fun to play a scenario game on forum marketing topics.

Let's say you start a gaming forum; the niche is obviously over-saturated. What is your plan to promote and market the forum?

This is a scenario here. It will be interesting to see the ideas everyone comes up with.

If there is any chance for new gaming forums to succeed, it is more content on a game. Like game plays, reviews, shortcuts, cheats and so on.

Because big channels try their best to cover almost every single monetisable option.
 
Being a general gaming forum probably isn't going to work as there are so many out there, you'd really need to scale down and concentrate on maybe a specific console or a specific game series and you can cater your advertisement in an easier way.
