How should you be sarcastic online? I've seen three ways.

Using /s
UsInG tHiS
Using this

Which is the best way to do it? What way should be done more?

To me "mIxInG tHe CaSe" isn't so much sarcasm as straight up mockery of the concept in question, e.g. a recent one of mine after some folks were discussing how weird the weather was, "bUt ClImAtE cHaNgE iSnT rEaL" - obviously indicating that a) I think it is, and b) I'm clearly mocking the sort of mindset that continues to suggest in the face of all the evidence that it isn't. (And let's face it, we all know people who deny things in the face of mounting evidence.)

I've also seen https://www.nathanhoang.com/sartalics suggested but unfortunately it's never been widely adopted even though it would be very, very clear of intent.

I honestly did not know there was a way to be able to show that you are being sarcastic online so this is something new I learned today. :)
I will admit that although I can be quite sarcastic in person to people who know me when it comes to being online because I didn't know there was any way to tell people I was being sarcastic I tend to steer clear of it instead as to not cause any issues.

Offline I frequently have to remind myself when to use 'inside voice' and not 'out loud voice' because I have gotten myself into trouble before now with a smart mouth, as they used to call it...

This topic is dumb. /s

You can say that again 😂... I racked my head trying to get it but failed completely 😂.
I generally try to avoid being sarcastic online as their is pretty much a 99% chance that someone will misunderstand things and the discussion will fall apart in some manner.
This is it with me. A lot of people out there don't understand sarcasm when it's been used with them at the pivot of it.
