Yesterday on the 9th of April, at the age of 99 and on the 99th day of the year the Queen's husband passed away. He was a colourful character who often spoke out of turn but much loved around the world. Not everyone supports the Royals but I'm sure most will be feeling sympathy for the Queen who must be devastated as they had a very happy marriage.

Take a look at this video:

I saw this on TV last night. They were married 73 years, longer than I have lived. I'm sure anyone, no matter what their opinion of the monarchy, would be touched by this video.

The most common thing about every human or living thing is death. It will surely be a loss if not to some, majorly to his house hold, the Queen most importantly. She needs grace to bear the loss because, that companionship isn't going to be there again.

The Duke was laid to rest today but the thing that struck me the most was how small and frail the Queen looked sitting by herself because of the Covid rules. I just wanted to hug her.

In my own opinion I will say Prince Philip who doubles as the Duke of Edinburgh lived a very long and fulfilled life at 99 who stop most people do not get to even live 50 years in my country and so I would say a big rest in peace.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Britain's longest-serving royal consort, was by the Queen's side for more than six decades of her reign.

Boris Johnson said he "inspired countless young people's lives."
