Has anyone here repurposed/repaired used and sometimes broken items to later sell for a profit? I know people who buy old junk and repurpose it into furniture, art, shelving and more. I have been meaning to repurpose some things myself. I'm also interested in finding old antiques that are in rough shape and refurbishing them to sell. Do you do anything like that yourself?

Well, there are many people who may love old products and this also includes old clocks, watches, and other kind of unique items that might have had been used by their grandparents. On the other hand, they may never want to sell it because those items may remind them about their grandparents.

I have never done this but I think there is a huge market for antique objects. I have a lot of antique items in my possession. I have never though about selling them but I think if I decide to put them on sale I might make decent money as most of these items are over 50 years old.

I think this is refereed to as "upcycling". My wife mentioned this before. A lot of people on Etsy sell older items that they have repurposed and made "new". Things like old computer monitors being turned into cat beds.

The concept of upcycling is quite interesting. This concept is quite popular in many tier 1 countries as well. Upcycling is quite common when it comes to creating artwork. This could also save the environment as well. Recycling is also a great way to save the environment.

Personally, I have never bothered about doing this kind of thing when it comes to business and I'm not sure if I would have the time to get into repairing items that I'm going to sell letter for any kind of profits. I know some people who are into this line of business especially those who are into the repair of smartphones, and old wall clocks which seems to be a very good business for them.

There are many artists who refurnish many different kinds of products in order to sell them in the market. Refurnishing many products could increase their value. However, not all kinds of antique products require refurnishing and they may lose their actual value in the market.

Personally I know very well that when a certain kind of work have been carried out on those products, they can actually have a new monetary value which can actually be very good if you are able to sell it. But unfortunately, I don't really have the time to invest in this kind of project right now which is why I have never considered it.

There is a proverb that says, "Old is Gold". This is why if you refurnish or alter the actual antique products, then they may lose their originality. In return, they may also lose their actual value as well. This is why many people may not refurnish such antique objects.
