Renewable Domains Costs!

Doesn't reply to all hosting providers and or to all who has a domain(s) but interesting that they can do that to you. Buying a new domain doesn't cost that much and with discounts and sales, you can get yourself a good three year deal for each domain. Over time however your domains renewable costs go up and up, does for me with one of the hosting providers that I'm with. Starting at $8 a year and after five years of owning a domain, it's now almost $18. My third renewal was $13 then following year it's gone up again. CRAZY

So I decided to go and change one of my domains to NameCheap and got it for three years and it's $6 cheaper (Domain transfer also) and so happy with that. Hopefully, they do not charge more as years go on. Last option is to change providers around every 5 years or less.

THoughts, have you got to pay more over time or you pay the same amount each time?

I once made a mistake that is costing me until now. I bought dot online domain because it was available for less than $1. I built website. I have been paying $32 for renewal since 5 years.

Yes it is common as most hosting sites offer free domain but once you buy renewal prices is always high so I always use Internet.BS which is quite reasonable domain register site which offers affordable domain.

I didn't have the idea that domain name providers can increase their yearly renewal for the use of the domain name. I guess that is unfair. But since the dot companies are registered with the government perhaps there should be a law or guideline on the rental of the domain name otherwise the users will be at a disadvantage. I love the aspect of that automatic renewal but how is payment made? What about a situation where funds in my card is low and it's to for auto renewal without my knowledge. How would I go about it?
