Remember guest signing on sites? Like a Guest Book on your site.

Do you guys remember back in the early days of the internet, like the 1990s and early 2000s or so, maybe even earlier, that some sites allowed you to sign your name on a guest book or page? I remember some sites back then where they would have a guest book, where you can sign your name and show you've visited the site. I don't think they do this anymore for sites, as I imagine it got abused and people had to monitor them more often and then realized it was better to just remove the option.

I kinda wish they still had guest books on sites again,.

I used the internet for the first time in 2001. It was so expensive that I did not start using the Internet until 2003. I had limited access to the internet and do not remember the sites in the early 2000s. I do not remember the guest book signing. But public chat rooms were very popular back then.

This was a very common thing in 1993 to 1995. I used many websites where this was done and looking back at it now, it was a thing spicy. I haven't seen it anymore recently and it would look odd for any website to have such in their website.
