Religious Fanatics

I've never had it happen to me before, but what is one supposed to do if a christian fanatic or a muslim fanatic joins your forum. Like, what if they join and start turning your forum into a prayer hall and start damning members for their behavior? Do you, tell them not to push their beliefs on other people and then get into the possibility of an argument or do you just give the member a timeout through a temporary ban?

Can't say I've dealt with anyone who could be labelled as a fanatic but I ave been across people who wish to put their religion in about every post wether innocently or not. I'd probably send them a PM saying whilst I accept you have the right to your faith and believe in whatever you believe in, this is not the place to preach (for want of a better word) about it. I don't mind confrontation though so yeh xD

God I hate it when religion and politic comments come up on forums as it always normally turns into an argument and flame thread. Therefore I try and nip them in the bud and stop threads on this topic and if members get annoyed I deal with them quickly to stop issues.

I'm a Catholic (not a very good one), but honestly, who the f*** cares? Internet is for porn and fun (same thing), not a place for religion. Got it? Ok, good.

I'm an Atheist but I listen to Christian Rock and if you mention that on some of the Christian Rock videos on YouTube, you're gonna have a bad time. I understand people may be religious and like to say it and thats fine. Its when they take it to the 'I MUST CONVERT EVERYONE' level that I get insanely annoyed.

in my forums i don't allow religious fanatic if any of these people does something like that i deliver a direct perma ban.

In our place the Roman Catholics are not that bad(still some people are there, but its just very rare), all the others.


The problem is, since I am a christian they will not be talking to me, the talks will be aimed towards my friends who might be from other religions and its very awkward and embarrassing for me! If I say bugger off to them, they will be like, kid I am not talking to you, Bible has said to all christians to do this and its my duty and blah blah blah! Seriously wtf. I don't really have any idea on what to say to them!
