I have been thinking of switching my hosting provider. I have been using GoDaddy for almost close to 7 years now. It's not too reliable according to me and I wouldn't really recommend it to, others either.

It offers only 30 concurrent connections and you get the 503 error easily, if your website receives like 40 visitors or so. Anyway, I have been using shared hosting now. So, is there a cheap reliable hosting provider out there? I have come across Bluehost but I am not completely sure about it.
Anyone uses Bluehost here? Do you think it's good?

Something would be majorly reliable for me - if there were no DDOS attacks. Those are the worst and could literally bankrupt a hosting company.

Anyway, I think most major problems are caused by users, and not the provider's fault. Who agrees?

Well its depends what kind of site you're running. I've been using HostGator for a years and i host PHP/WordPress type website. Its just a $15 a month and their customer services is pretty good as compare to the GoDaddy.

I will propose for you to look for a company that is working within your country, I have used hostico which is locate in Romania, and I had no issues, I updated the plugins weekly and the support team is always there, find a hosting company in your country.

Well, I don't have a credit card. More like I have never used it and I don't plan to either. People around me use debit cards only and GoDaddy accepts our local bank debit card.

That's the reason I opted for GoDaddy in the first place. I don't trust small companies all that much, as I have seen several companies give up just after an year or two. Still, it's a good idea to find a hosting company in my country and I will try to look into that. Thank you.

Hostgator is still best in hosting business as they are oldest and have better performance benchmark specially when you look for speed and uptime, only concern is they don't do daily backup like others but have no issue in last 12 years. You can try SiteGround which is quite popular for people who wants faster loading time.

I have been using namecheap PLATFORM as my domain and hosting platform and it has been a good and reliable platform for me so far. They have good customer services and their own platform is very intuitive and easy to navigate. If you host your PLATFORM with namecheap you won't have any cause to complain.

I have no recommendation for a better hosting. I just want to express my opinion on the downtime and that access error due to the excess users in the pool. You have to upgrade the hosting package so that your access speed will not be much affected. That was the issue in our office website that we changed hosting provider but after a year we again changed. After several transfers our boss realized that upgrading the package is the solution and that was it.

If you are looking for the most reliable hosting then you should go with Cloud hosting,or VPS hosting
And if you have a low budget and want reliable hosting to start then shared hosting might be a good option.

Blue host is one of the best hosting provider you can afford and it's users friendly. Some of their hosting plan comes with free domain name. Dream host us another best hosting provider on the internet and it comes with short plan for your budget. Hostinger is another good hosting company. It offers cheap hosting account for bloggers.

Check out my sig link, that is the one I use and they are a great price too, I used to use godaddy hosting but switched to them several years ago when godaddy had a bunch of problems..

I would strongly recommend you go with namecheap as your hosting provider, they have very affordable plans for there hosting and it the speed is super fast especially for E-Commerce site.
One thing I really like about namecheap is there customer service attendants, there response time is so fast and they take their time to solve your problems.

why don't you try namecheap? I have been working with them for a long time and they have never bothered me. I really recommend them to everyone. and good prices and good quality.

I would personally recommend Bluehost simply because the plans it offers with unlimited space are one of the cheapest you can find in the industry, Assuming you want unmetered bandwidth and unlimited SSD storage from the web hosting provider

Namecheap is the best host I have ever used. And trust me, I have used a lot of hosts before settling with Namecheap and I have never had any complaints. I even migrate my clients from bluehost to Namecheap over downtimes and slow WordPress dashboard (common with godaddy).

Bluehost is the best overall web hosting service While competition is cut-throat, Bluehost continues to impress in almost every aspect, delivering the complete package of speed, security, versatility and, most importantly, superb reliability

Hostgator has surprised us with an exclusive offer that delivers some of the best shared hosting features we've seen for a very long time, with a slew of freebies like domain names, SSL certificate and marketing money and excellent reliability.

I think namechep has the cheapest yet the best hosting services. You can choose between shared hosting, VPS, dedicated servers or wordpress managed hosting. They also give SSL free for the first year. You can get discount codes even for renewal of domains and hosting. The basic shared hosting less than $20 for the first year and you can host upto 3 websites.

I do not have any experience with using web hosting. However, I think blue host, hostgator, ipage, namecheap are some of the reliable names for web hosting companies. These are the big names.
