Nowadays it seems like the safe bet is to make a remake or reboot of an already existing horror or movie franchise and change stuff up slightly, in most cases it's something miniscule like the race of a character. What do you think of remakes/reboots?

Personally, I'm not a fan of them. I feel like if the original is a classic or 'good enough' don't bother remaking it. Movies like Friday the 13th, Pet Sematary, IT, Dawn of the Dead, to name a few, really didn't need to be 'remade' but yet they were.....

Now we have The Strangers 'rebooted' series coming which the first movie is literally a copy/paste job of the 2008 original film.

Where do you stand in terms of reboots or remakes? Are you a fan?

It depends on how they are remade. If they have focused just on visual effects, that's a big no-no for me, however, if they have also tried to come up with an interesting twist, I will certainly love it.

Both in movies and in video games I have almost always liked the original versions more since it seems that they were made with more love and sought to generate more impact so that the public liked it, many remakes seem made simply to monetize an old glory again.

It depends on how well they do with remakes. I find some are pretty good, definitely not as good as the originals. For example, I liked the Pet Sematary remake but it's no where near as good as the original. They made some odd changes, and they revealed the biggest one in their trailer which is another problem all together. I feel they should come up with original content more, but they know nostalgia sells.
