Realistic V Fake Video Games

A lot of games have that setting where the developers wanna try to make it a realistic game but just end up turning it into a half-finished game, we've seen this through a lot of games, for example dead island was one of them, the developers didn't even work on the game. The graphics, game mechanics, and overral in general is all messed up because they didn't have the proper funds and they have the audacity to be in the development of another one. So I guess I'd prefer a little bit of both.

So what do you prefer fake or some realistic?
