Raising finance

Has anybody had experience in the past with raising finance for a project they were undertaking?

If so, how did you go about it? Did you use personal assets to get a secured loan for investment, or did you perhaps approach an angel investor and manage to secure some unsecured investment that way?

I'm interested to hear of any success stories and tips!

I was still in college when I started my first business, I raised funds from friends and family. I offered share for all those who had contributed to the business funds. With a great elan, I lunched my publishing company. I managed to bring our first issue of the magazine. but until then our funds had already depleted and we couldn't bring in more investments to bring out the second issue of the magazine. Raising finances is not difficult but what s difficult is utilizing the funds in a proper way so that you manage to run the show successfully
