Also, if there is no limit to how much one can earn, you don't need to add a cap. Can just put in the maximum to zero and it will be treated as a currency that can earn unlimited of.

Look at "Snowflakes" below:

How do you set a limit on how much currency can be earned per day? Do we use the event trigger maximum to set the cap?

For instance, if you have sections that produce lower amounts, how do you set a maximum amount of currency earned per day?

I am assuming it’s the event trigger for DragonBytes for posting/topics max events in x minutes.

I have actually got a license with DBTech, so I’ll post a suggestion to see if they can implement this.

Probably so, as this is how I currently have it set up.

I could assume quality of posts start decreasing from 10th post so set up 10 posts per hour should be ok as next hour there is reset until hole limit of 60 posts reached in 6 hours means to a total of 60 posts per day in 24 hours. Worker could post more than 10 posts per hour but not credited. What do you think?

I have to set to a maximum of $1.05 for the currency itself.

You edit the Maximum earned, then the limit period to 1 day (in seconds)

Then on the ozzmods addon, you can set the daily cap there for the progress bar:

Right now theres no way for the addon to set a maximum amount per section, or even per user group.

Ah! That's much better way than I currently have set up. Thanks!

Yes, this way you can have multiple sections earning different amounts, or even special events, special rewards, etc, and still have a maximum for the day as it's set to the currency itself.

Keep in mind, this will result in donations/tranfers/adjusts also being effected.
I had to create a new currency to get around those limits.

That is the exact answer I was looking for...my whole economy on the forum is jacked up because of the max feature. I had to restore the forum and still subsequently lost everyone's credits and had to restart.

So what method did you do with the RAW Rif?

All the normal crediting events through posting, credits in RAW RIF. With that, the cap is set for the daily max. Donations and shop purchases are set to the regular currency version of it. So in order to purchase stuff or to send it to someone as a donation, it needs to be transferred the regular version of it. Kinda like the USD Currency. If you have the PBucks currency set to a maximum earned per day, you prevent it from being donated to others, and then have any donation events be set through the USD currency.

I'm so sorry to hear about that.

Going through the logs should have been able to tell you how much someone "spent" to send donations, and could have given the users the missing credits.
But yea, luckily, this issue was found out prior to me owning the forum. When a user would send another user say $5, but the maximum limit was only $1, the sending user would still loose the $5, but the gaining user wouldn't get anything if their daily limit has already been reached.

So what method did you do with the RAW Rif?
What I did was have two currencies.

Raw RIF and RIF Cash.

RIF Cash would be the "main" currency of the site. They withdraw from RIF Cash, shop items in rif cash, transfer, donations, and marketplace all in rif cash, etc. My daily login bonus also goes directly into the RIF Cash. There is no daily limit set on RIF Cash.

Then the Raw RIF is what you would earn when posting on the forums. Every posts, thread, or any additional events goes into Raw RIF. This is what has a maximum earnings set.

They can then transfer Raw RIF to RIF Cash.

If you already have two currencies, you can set this up no problem. You can make your "USD" the one they withdraw from, purchase things, etc, then your "PBucks" to the one they earn from posting on the forums.
