pros and cons about zoos?

The pros are many zoos spend money on research to better habitat. Some even help with endangered species like the St Louis Zoo a few hours from me.

Stuff like that IMO makes zoos worth it. If the zoo isn't doing something like that, it probably doesn't need to be open.
