Promoting via Social Media Ads?

Do you run social media campaigns, or do you stick to old fashioned advertising?

I promoted a post on Facebook today, but I don't buy ads too often.

I have heard so many different stories when it comes to buying ads on social media sites. Some say that it works wonders while others say they did not receive any more fans after the campaign. It really depends, but I would definitely take the risk, especially since you have the option of paying very little.

Totally not a good idea, I have done it in the past and it sucked really badly.

I didn't even get solid traffic from them.

I never bought ads in social media before, although I believe some people get good results from buying ad spaces on Facebook. I am thinking of advertising in Facebook.
