How long are your posts? Do you write for a certain length or word count, or are they varying lengths? Would there be any benefit to having a set length? I normally just write till I'm done. I don't cut off because I hit a certain number.

If someone is paying me for an article then yes I go by word count. If it is for my own site then I write as much as I feel the article needs. It is hard to limit yourself when the ideas are flowing.

I don't really think there is any benefit to limiting yourself as far as the length of a post. I don't even pay attention to it when I'm writing. The main thing I am concerned about when I am writing is the content. The post itself usually dictates the length.

I would say it depends on what I'm writing about. Some topics I can go on forever about.

I make them about 500 words because I think that's a decent amount. I think we all know that most people don't wan to read a huge article because it just won't keep many people's attention.
