I wanted to start a thread after reading something on the forum about something that I think is incredibly important - pollution. As we all know, pollution is one of the most significant issues facing our planet today, and it's something that affects us all in one way or another.

From the air we breathe to the water we drink, pollution is a pervasive problem that harms not only the environment but also human health and the well-being of all living things. And the sad truth is that much of this pollution is caused by human activity.

I'll admit to being guilty to pollution sometimes but I try to be as clean as possible. What are some practical steps that individuals can take to reduce their own carbon footprint?

Recycling is definitely one way we can reduce our own carbon footprint. I tend to recycle as much as I can or at least as much as my council will allow being recycled in the bins they provide for us and I know by doing my bit, I am helping.

Using less transport as well and instead walking or even cycling places can help someone reduce their carbon footprint as well. So many people tend to rely on cars or even public transport when they could easily walk to the destination they need to be. I will always walk if I am able to over taking any kind of transport.

It's why I get so mad whenever I see people dumping their trash in the water or even when it rains. They are destroying a lot of things out of their ignorance or some of them know but they don't care at all. I hate it whenever I go to the beach and see some dirt washed up shore. It's very disgusting.
