Sony revealed the technical specifications for its upcoming console, the PlayStation 5 in a streaming presentation on March 18.
During the event, led by Mark Cerny, the leading architect behind the PS5 console, Sony unveiled that the PS5 will integrate a custom AMD Zen 2 CPU with eight cores at a speed of 3.5GHz and a custom AMD GPU with ray diagram the quality offers greater graphic power so that the objects in the games will be seen with greater precision and realism. "Water, glass, light refraction or the character's hair will look more true to life," Sony said in a press release.
Sony's next console will also integrate an 825GB internal storage unit (SSD), which aims to eliminate load times, and 16GB RAM (GDDR6). In addition, Cerny emphasized 3D audio integration, which aims to offer an immersive audio experience for all users and not just for those with a high-end sound system. "Being able to distinguish how rain falls on different surfaces around you and precisely locate the enemies that lurk behind you," Sony wrote.
