PHP-Nuke

This was one software I used once or twice just to mess about with it. Has anyone else used it before? If so, what'd you like or dislike about it?

I think it is still updated, but not as much these days.

Yes, same. I never made an actual site out of it.

I messed around with it a little bit in the past, I thought it was alright. Looking at the Wikipedia page, I checked out their bitbucket and it hasn't been updated in almost a decade so looks like the project is dead.

Seems another dev or so took over and continued doing stuff. Weird, I know.

For a moment, I thought I was on a page that got hacked or something malicious in it.

We expect some kind of standard product page in most cases.

I've played around with it as a demo before but never on a live site.
I was part of a website that used PHP-Fusion, I feel like that was quite similar.

I still do not know what it can do. Google says it automatically fetches content, plus CMS features.

How is it different from a forum or a blog?

Yes, that's one I recall too. I think I used it once or twice before but nothing much more.

I truly enjoyed Php Nuke in my younger days.

It was like having a social network before social media.

However, it's full of security issues today. I don't think it's updated anymore, either. I wouldn't use it today.

But I do remember thoroughly enjoying it back in it's prime. That was during the PhpBB2 days too.

This brings back some memories when I was in middle school, I dabbled with it and did have site used it for few months until the site got compromised so then I just stopped using it. I have to Agree shawn about the security issues.

I played around with it many years back. I thought it was OK. Never used it full time on a site. Security was an issue for it back then if I remember right.
