Thankfully most of the forums don't penalize their users if they are not active on the website or do not log in for a longer duration. The only forum that penalizes users if they don't log in for 90 days is the Beer money forum but it is done with the intention to keep users stay active and if their earnings were deducted for this reason they can request admin to waive off the penalty and if admin is satisfied with their reason then they get their earnings back.

No on most of the websites, there is a rule that if you don't log in at least once in three months your earnings become zero. We should always log in to the site once a day to not let that happen.

I've not seen such rules in all the paid to post forum I have tried out, but I think there should be removal of accounts that are inactive for quite a long time or there should be a mechanism to contact people that are inactive in the forum.

That rule is not too good. What if a user is sick or lost his/her device and is not available to make posts. I don't think that it is fair. There was a time I dumped forum coin for over 3 months.

Which website has this role other than Beer money forum? I'm 100% sure there is no such rule on forum coin, Post bucks, Referral Index forum

I have set a rule that states users not active in the last 180 days will be locked on the platform. I have been running my forum for almost 2 years and I have not blocked any user for being inactive.

Are you talking of Post bucks or some other forum? Beer money forum only penalize users with the deduction of their earnings and don't block or ban users for this reason.

It's a good rule if you like to understand the reason behind this rule but its better not to have this lol as it may not be liked by users because many users like to take longer breaks and during that time they don't even log in their account

Forum coin, mylot does not have this rule. You can return after years but won't lose your earnings and no penalty for no login

Every website has this option to go for this rule or not although users dislike this rule and you may need to face criticism from other members but I support this rule.

If this rule is effected on forum coin then many users will be at loss as there are hundreds of users that skip the website for months and years.

Forum coin cannot apply this thing as its a very harsh way to keep users active and by nature fergal does not like to push users to log in daily

And I think this is why they always have a login bonus for every member

PB already added the penalty so users need to log in at least once in 7 days and if not then the penalty will be $1

I would say that everything depends on the benefits of using your forum. If there's nothing like incentives for your members to be active on your forum, there's no way you would have them penalised for not being active. Why would they even care? What do you think you're going to gain by doing that?

I have seen several forums take this measure to encourage members to stay active, for example Postbucks once imposed this rule, because many users were not being active enough and the site was not generating enough income with ads, it all depends on the situation of the forum in question, but as you say if users are not encouraged to stay active, they won't be.

I don't see a reason why a user should be penalized for not being active, it just doesn't make sense. The whole point of having an offline and online word is because there are times when setting users might be offline due to personal reasons.

The only user you have the right to penalise in your forum would be your staff members and they would have to be paid staff members because you can't dictate anything to someone you're not paying any money.

As for your forum members, penalising for not being active will not be beneficial to your forum. You will end up chasing them away. Unless you pay them first for being active is only when they will take your penalty in good faith.

I used to work at a site a while back that had a feature, that if a user is inactive for I think 6 months, they will get an email saying their account is putting on hold or on hiatus until you sign back in. It would be like a vacation mode for users, so that when they were gone, we could turn it on. They eventually made it where users could even mark themselves unavailable for a bit and their accounts wouldn't be closed or deleted.

If a member being active on the forum gets them to earn from it, if they are not active, they won't earn from it. It's on them and not on the forum. They won't get paid for the traffic generated by others, so there's no point in penalizing them. It will only drive them away permanently.
