On-page optimization refers to the process of optimizing the web pages in order to be recognised and earn more relevant traffic in search engines. It includes a variant strategies that can be used to enhance the presence and usefulness of a webpage for both search engines and users.
Some inescapable on-page optimization procedures include:
  • Title tags: These tags is seen in the browser tab and in the search engine results pages (SERPs), and they should be adequately optimised.
  • Meta descriptions: These must be compelling and they provide a brief summary of the page's content.
  • Header tags (H1, H2, H3, etc.): These tags indicate the genre of the page's content and help search engines understand how the pages are built
  • Content optimization: This is the utilisation of keywords throughout the page's content in a natural way.
  • Image optimization: This includes adding image tags such as alt tags, file names, and captions.
  • URL structure: This includes structuring URLs in a clear and logical way that includes keywords.
  • Sitemaps: Creating and submitting an XML sitemap to search engines to help them crawl and make the website indexable
  • Schema markup: Using structured data to help search engines understand the context of your pages.
