Old Backlinks with new URL?

I use blogger to host a blog about my applications. The url is currently http://meccaapps.blogspot.com (very long!). I am looking at getting a cu.cc subdomain and (hopfully) a domain from WGBB with WGBB$. I was wondering if I change the .blogspot address to a real domain or a shorter sub domain would Google recognize the backlinks to my old url as ones for the new url?

Since Blogger is a google product, I would imagine back links built to your .blogspot sub domain would count towards your new domain. You may wish to read this on 301 redirects and SEO: http://moz.com/learn/seo/redirection. According to Moz, 90-99% of the link juice is passed on.
