How do you deal with offtopic posts in marketplace threads?

I'll give you an example:

A user on FP wants to start a hosting company. He said he didn't have enough time to run the hosting company by himself. He also appears to have, very recently, owned another hosting business with someone else. I asked what happened to his other hosting business and Chris - owner of US247Host- pointed out that if you don't have the time to be running a host then you shouldn't be starting one.

Then an FP staff member came along and posted:
Cleaned up this thread. If you aren't interested in a job position please do not reply to the thread. All posts made not concerning a position will be considered off topic, and removed. Thank you!

This is how FP's moderation policy works so I am neither surprised nor concerned. The reason behind this is that it stops flaming and arguing. However I personally believe those are both questions the OP should have been able to answer. By posting questions in a marketplace thread, even if you aren't interested in the offer, you inform people who are looking. I personally feel that kind of moderation policy leaves people misinformed.

What are your thoughts?

If you're making examples, don't include the forums name and/or its abbreviations.

I personally don't really care if people discuss something in marketing threads as long as the content is relative to the thread itself (in this case, position/start of site). However at the same time I understand FP staff member and the action he took, because on larger forums such accusations (sorry, don't know the word that would fit better here) can escalate really quickly.

It's a real example. I don't blame Eternal at all because that is the ForumPromotion moderation policy and I can understand why they have it.
Never said you are, but it's common courtesy to not include website's title or abbreviation. But like always, that's what I think and that's why I pointed it out.
