I ordered a VPS from OVH and they sent me an admin account instead of standard root access. I can install Apache but since Apache has root ownership which mean i can not add website to my Apache this quite a problem for me
Can anyone guide me is it an update from OVH or error ?

Its a change in the Ubuntu, OVH has nothing to do with it. The installer after 16.04 never promote your a root access, instead it will ask you to create a User name and the password for it
You can enable the root access by just modify the sshd_config and reset the SSH services Good luck

sudo sed -i 's/prohibit-password/yes/' /etc/ssh/sshd_config
